What is the best time to book a maternity and baby session?
For maternity images, the optimal time is typically between the 25th and 34th week of pregnancy. During this period, your belly has a beautiful shape, your skin often has a radiant glow, and you're still comfortable enough to enjoy the photo session.
What can I expect during a maternity and baby session?
During your maternity session, we'll work together to create a variety of looks and styles that reflect your unique personality and preferences. This may include various wardrobe changes to showcase different styles, poses that highlight your lovely growing bump, and also intimate moments shared with your partner. We'll take the time to ensure every image reflects this special time in your life, allowing you to look back and cherish these memories for years to come.
For the baby session, we'll aim to capture the pure innocence and joy that radiates from your little one, as they explore the world with wide-eyed wonder and delight. From the sweet moments of curiosity to the playful interactions with family members, every smile, giggle, and cuddle will be cherished. Throughout the session, we'll work together to create an environment that allows your baby to feel comfortable and at ease, adjusting setups and props as needed to ensure their preferences and comfort are prioritised. Experimenting with different poses and angles, we'll capture their unique expressions and incorporate any special props or themes that hold significance for your family. Our goal is to create a collection of images that perfectly encapsulate the essence of your baby's early days.
What should I wear for my maternity session?
It's best to wear outfits that make you feel comfortable, confident, and showcase your baby bump. Solid colours, flowing fabrics, and form-fitting dresses or tops often work well. Avoid patterns or prints that may distract from your bump.
When booking a bundle, it is always a good idea to plan ahead and - if possible - consider wearing coordinating or even the same outfits for both the maternity and baby sessions. Opting for matching attire, such as similar dresses or complementary colours, creates a cohesive and harmonious look in your timeless portraits and those of your little one. This not only ensures a seamless and elegant appearance but also enhances the overall style and sophistication of your home décor when decorating the wall with the portraits.
Can I include siblings, other family members or pets in my photo session?
Absolutely! Including siblings or other family members can create beautiful, heartwarming images that celebrate the bond between siblings and family. We'll plan the session to accommodate everyone and capture those special moments together.
And yes, pets are welcome to join the session, too, as long as they are comfortable in a studio environment. Bringing along a pet handler or familiar toy can help keep them calm and engaged during the shoot.
Are outdoor and on-location maternity sessions available?
Yes, outdoor maternity sessions are available and can provide beautiful natural backdrops for your photos. We can discuss location options and timing to ensure the best lighting and scenery for your session.
Please consider the option of moving your session indoors, into my studio or your home, in case weather does not allow for an outdoor session on the scheduled date.
What happens if I need to reschedule my session due to unforeseen circumstances?
Life happens, and I completely understand. If you need to reschedule your session, please let me know as soon as possible, and we'll work together to find a new date that works for both of us.
Unfortunately, due to the complexity and effort involved in these types of sessions, I cannot offer any refunds. If you are unable to schedule or attend after you have already paid the deposit, I will issue you a voucher for the amount paid, which you can redeem towards your next session or give as a gift to a loved one. In case when you can schedule or attend only one session, I am not able to offer a refund for the second session, as it is already free with this offer.
Do you have an insurance and am I safe during the photo session?
Yes, I am a fully insured professional photographer based in the Republic of Ireland.
Your safety and comfort are my top priorities, even before the photographs. I ensure the hygiene and cleanliness of my studio before every maternity and baby session.
Please keep in mind that access to my studio is via stairs. Let me know in advance if there are any accessibility issues for you, so I can offer an alternative location. Additionally, please inform me of any additional arrangements I can make to cater to your needs during the session.
Terms and conditions
Session Fee
The client agrees to pay a deposit as a one-time session fee of €229 for both, the Maternity and Baby Photography Sessions, which includes consultation, preparation and styling guide and up to 90 minutes 'photo shoot' at the photographer's studio.
By booking the Maternity and Baby Bundle Session and paying the session fee, the client is entitled to receive both sessions (Maternity and Baby) for the price of one.
However, this fee does not cover any final products such as digital files or printed files.
To avail of the bundle deal, the client must book and pay the session fee by April 15th.
The payment of the session fee, i.e. deposit, is required prior to booking and scheduling the session. All deposits are non-refundable.
Scheduling
Sessions are guaranteed upon receipt of the session fee. However to avail of both sessions, the client must schedule both the Maternity and Baby session within the specified timeframe. The Maternity session must be scheduled before the end of 2024. The Baby session must be scheduled by the end of 2025.
If an online gallery has been agreed upon for choosing images, the client must select the final images within four weeks of receiving notification from the photographer.
It is the client's responsibility to schedule sessions and choose the final images within the specified timeframe.
Rescheduling and cancellations
Should the client not be able to schedule or attend any of the sessions after paying the deposit, they may receive a voucher for the session fee minus the appropriate retainer at the photographer's discretion.
Should the client not be able to schedule or attend one of the sessions after paying the deposit, no refunds or vouchers can be issued, as the session fee for second session is already discounted due to the nature of this offer.
Final products
Final products are digital or printed products client purchases after the session.
There is a wide range of printed products available which client can choose from. Password protected online galleries are also available.
Location
The sessions included in this bundle will be held at the photographer's studio by default. However, if the client prefers to schedule one or both sessions at an alternative location such as their home, a park, or a forest, certain fees will apply. The exact amount of these fees will be communicated and agreed upon prior to scheduling the sessions at the alternative location.
Formal
This offer is exclusive to maternity and baby photography sessions and cannot be used for any other type of session or another genre.
The photographer reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time, with or without notice, and it is the client's responsibility to review them periodically for any changes.
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland.
Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Photographer from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses arising out of or related to the Client's use of the photographs, including but not limited to any third-party claims or actions. The Photographer shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, punitive, or incidental damages arising out of or related to the services provided under this agreement.
In case any provision of these T&C is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
